UNIQUE EQUESTRIAN CHOREOGRAPHY
Bartabas presented his equestrian ballet at Al Jahili Fort in Abu Dhabi.
As part of the "Emirati French Cultural Programme - dialogue with the Louvre Abu Dhabi”, set up by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, the French Ministry of Culture and Communication and the Institut Français, Al Jahili Fort hosted 'Unique Equestrian Choreography from 23 to 28 March. This equestrian show is directed by Bartabas, with the participation of the equerries and horses of the National Equestrian Academy of Versailles, who have travelled to Abu Dhabi for the occasion.
“La voie de l’écuyer” is one of the Academy's most well-known shows. New features are added or changed every year: Lusitano-horse carousel, solos, fencing, working with long reins, dancing, etc. As a tribute to horses, which are an essential aspect of Emirati heritage, Bartabas put on a revised show, in which the famous Lusitano horses with blue eyes and the equerries of the National Equestrian Academy of Versailles demonstrated all their virtuoso skills.
This unique event is being produced by GL events Middle East. On site, the teams have installed all the necessary facilities, including: 2 tents, a show arena, a training paddock, lighting, a sound system, and a 600-seat grandstand.
Our main challenge was the consideration for the health, safety and welfare of the horses, riders and spectators. We scrutinized the site and carried out daily maintenance to successfully provide a safe environment for the Unique Equestrian Choreography.
